Gilgandra Local Aboriginal Medical Service (GLAMS) is seeking an enthusiastic person to fill the casual position of endorsed enrolled nurse.
An enrolled nurse provides direct patient care under the supervision of Clinical RN Lead, which includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing personal care, and assisting with treatments and care plans. The Enrolled Nurse core duties involve gathering clinical data, interpreting observations, and performing nursing interventions and therapies within the scope of their delegated tasks. Other responsibilities also include maintaining infection control, collaborating with the healthcare team, and providing emotional and physical support to patients. The Enrolled Nurse is required to report immediately to the Clinical RN Lead in the delivery of care to patients and works in collaboration with the Practice Manager to enhance the clinical service provided to clients with the aim of improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and/or Torres strait Islander people of the community.
